Chicken-Shit Democrats

In 2016 Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed social democrat, independent senator from Vermont ran against Hillary Clinton for the democratic presidential nomination. The atmosphere around that primary battle was that running against dt (I just can’t bring myself to say, spell, or write his name) was pretty much a shoe-in and Hillary was probably the best-qualified candidate ever to run for the presidency. She was First Lady for 8 years; what other candidate in history can say that huh? She was Secretary of State under Obama for what 4 years. She was a senator from New York, the First Lady of Arkansas among many otherworldly experiences.
The DNC in their rush to push Hillary did everything they could to limit, handicap, hold back, stifle the campaign of one social democrat, Bernie Sanders. They were so sure that this election, both the primary and the election, would be an easy victory and they could crown the first woman president. But they forgot what happens when a candidate electrifies the voting public, which is what Bernie did.
He put together a real grass roots movement, which by the way is still in existence 4 years later, and has raised more money than any other campaign in this primary taking only moneys from people and not super pacs, or billionaires or big corporations, just individual people like you and me. Well thanks to the “fix” and the super delegates, which are by the way the weapon of last resort for the DNC and the REAL money in the party, are in. If the people decide on a candidate that does not pass muster with the DNC powers they simply bring in the super delegates and voila! the fix, the candidate of choice (their choice, of course) is nominated.
So Hillary got the nod from the DNC, ran, won the popular vote, lost the election thanks to Russian interference and I’m sure some skullduggery on dt’s part--and of course, Fox Propaganda and their legions of followers.
Now, 4 years later, we have another chance to nominate a candidate with ideas like single-payer health care, college education tuition free, green deal for the climate, wealth tax to fund programs for the American people; you know programs to actually help “The People”. These ideas are very popular with the people but not with the DNC, not with the money people in the DNC. They don’t want their world turned upside down and they sure don’t want to lose their power to some popular socialist.
So they put pressure on Mayor Pete and Klobechar, the day before super Tuesday primaries, to drop out and immediately support their choice; the unimpressive, safe, smiling Biden. (I’d love to know what they bribed them with: money, positions, both?) They pressured their people to support Biden, paint a picture that Sanders can’t beat dt and sure enough they turn the tables. Why? Because the chicken shit democrats of this country are so cowardly, so afraid of their shadow, so afraid that the republicans we dominate them if they reach for too much, for what should be policy in this country, that they immediately run for high ground--someone they think is a safe bet, someone who they consider “normal” and vote for Biden.
Now I have nothing against Biden but he has no vision, no plan for the future of this country, just same old same old. Single payer health care? He can’t afford it, can’t see a way to make it work just like the republicans. Tuition free education? Not in the cards. Fighting global warming? Well we’ll have to see.
Naomi Klein, Canadian filmmaker and a social activist, has come out for Bernie, as has Krystal Ball, reporter for Hill TV. Ms. Ball made excellent points about the DNC expecting the Bernie supporters to just give up and promise to support Biden. Many influential media personalities support the grass roots movement and their ideas, which this country is in dire need. They can see the promise of Sander’s ideas and plans.
When will the democrats develop an attitude that what has been happening to us as citizens of this country is not acceptable and policies must change and change drastically in some cases? When will democrats quit rolling over and taking it from the republican bullies who dominate the discussions and force their will on us? When will they see the bold social changes that could be if they would only stand up and be counted?
We, again, have a chance to drastically change our country for the better. So many republicans will not vote for dt thus will be more likely to support a mover and shaker like Sanders in this election, as opposed to an election where they support their standard bearer. Many republicans will not support a democrat but maybe an independent such as Sanders. The opportunity is here now.
But as we are seeing, the chicken shit democrats are like sheep falling in line as they are told. They are afraid of wanting what this country needs. They are afraid of being “too pushy” reaching for too much. They are afraid of success!
Sick of the democrat’s impotence? Take two aspirin and call me in the morning!
